A Problem

Isn’t it time to be a hero, one that You yourself have created and defined? Isn’t it time to be the God that You have it within You to be? Leave the broken world behind. Create The New World. This time one that isn’t screwed. Let’s stop being mad as hell. Let’s stop the decline of Humanity into increasing craziness. Let’s create a Society of Quality, a Society of Excellence, a Society of Actualization. Above all, a Society of Divine Humanity, where we have given glorious expression to The Divine Spark that resides within Us all.

Instead, There are so many Issues and Arguments and Conflicts in Our World right now... So many, too many, way too much.

Wars are waged as a way of life, so that Our Children rise only to die as pawns in games of hate, and drones don’t discriminate. And, Our Young fall with weary cry, Their death-rattles forming a tune... “ When the rich wage war, it’s the poor who pay.”

Back at Home, governments cower behind their shooting soldiers, whilst Parliaments burn... Leaving Our Children littering dead upon streets and lawns. Gen Z looks set to be Our Last. See... You can’t kill Your Voters.

And outside is blistering hot too, climate change so sweeping, upending so much normality... Hear... the earthquakes and floods roaring, Gaia is aturning... Every land has become a sinking ship, and the storm acoming is set to be the biggest in the destructor class.

And, to save Us... Our Politicians who Promises have No Worth, dripping duplicity, their dishonesty, Our Surety. Is it any wonder that Our Politics are a Cosmic Joke... to willingly and willfully pick the loudest and brashest to Lead Us.

It is not that We don’t have available Solutions, nor Talented and Dedicated Individuals to put To Task, yet instead We stick to Our hallowed Rituals of Democracy... Performing them religiously, though The Spirit is long since gone.

And, annually, We light candles and We match proudly in parades proclaiming... Lest We Forget... whilst Hannah and Fatima who played together are buried besides. I read Their Headstones... Here lies Hope and Future.

These scenes from morning tv, sipping a flat white with two sugars please, as I see another tiny white shroud given back to Gaia... Civilized... Who civilized kills their children?

See, the proverbial Babylon really is falling; Gone is The Republic.

And though This Litany is truly heart-breaking, and weighty and pressing in terms of urgency,... These are all symptoms of another Problem underlying... A Problem which I bring to You today.

This is The Crux of The Problem... So many Promises have been made, so much has been Promised, but so few Promises have been kept. This means that Our Politics has failed.

Wars everywhere rage, with the Big One looming, despite the establishment of the United Nations over 80 years ago to ensure International Peace and Security.

Nuclear Weapons still persist, and the prospect of nuclear annihilation still threatens despite governments everywhere promising to eliminate them entirely in 1966.

Billions still do not have access to food, water, or shelter. Children all over the world still do not have access to schools, books, or even toys. Access to Internet and Employment are just dreams for so many, and CentreLink and FoodStamps... What is That?

Alwhilst, governments the world over are so focused hell-bent on proving that They are above The Law, that governments are fast becoming the biggest threat to Human Beings and Human Communities.

Surely, A Guardian of Our Ideals must embody Them.

Recent geopolitical events are showing in sensational and grotesque ways that We have reached the limits of the usefulness of Our current Politics. As Trump gambols The Jester upon the world stage, delighting in showing the real worth of Our much vaunted Ideals and Institutions. Alongside, the Israel/Palestine Conflict drags inexorably and tragically on, as Their competing Claims... Self-defence versus Self-determination... and two nation-states do not occupy the same space.

Clearly, constantly bickering and feuding nation-states do not lead to Unity or to The Stars, neither does This Arrangement – Our Politics lead to best outcomes anymore for Human Beings and Human Individuals.

But, this should not surprise Us, as Our World is structured and dominated by Institutions... Think... Governments, Nations, States, Laws, and even Politics... which emerged in Western Europe after the Treaty of Westphalia in 1647. And these have been in place largely unchanged since, except for the experiments of the League of Nations and United Nations. Experiments which have now failed.

Underpinning this Our Politics is Political Philosophy... A Discourse within Humanity about the organisation of Human Society... Which conceptualizes the unifying principle as A Social Contract.

This Social Contract is An Agreement, both constitutional and normative, which binds Human Society together. It is the basis for The Legitimacy of nation-states and their governments, and The Foundation for civil relations between Governor and Governed.

The Terms of Our Social Contract are not complicated or onerous... They Are:

We as Human Beings are By Nature, Wild and Free and Sovereign, yet We also live in a dangerous and uncertain Universe wherein Peace and Security is often better secured through Cooperation and Community. Thus, in such pursuit, We delegate Our Sovereignty to constructed Communities, which for the present Time and Place, We call nation-states.

Noting to You too, that Our Delegation only subsists with the ongoing provision of Peace and Security for Human Individuals and Human Communities.

It is a nonsense, that Our Delegation of Sovereignty was a once-off occurrence made in some distant past that no one can remember or pin point. Our Delegation is necessarily a regular Process of Renewal and Reconciliation of Community. This is the actual Essence of Democracy.

And, when governments and nation-states fail to keep their promises, and fail to abide by their agreements, they are failing to meet Their Terms of The Social Contract. And, only Fools keep broken Agreements.

Transparency and Accountability are cornerstones of Good Governance... Why should They apply differently to nation-states and governments?

It is not accurate nor is it sufficient explanation for current generations to allay blame for These Failures by characterising The Social Contract as construct only, a tool for Thinking not really for Doing. Otherwise, Our Politics is just a fantasy, only a device devised to ensnare Us in perpetual pursuit... Forever chasing possibilities forbidden.

In Truth, The Social Contract is An Ideal, adopted by Human Society as one of the fundamental Principles of Our Politics, yet It is only partway to manifestation. And in the buffeting headwinds of life and endeavour, Humanity paused in This Enterprise, and We forgot The Whys beneath and beyond.

This happens at times in the never-ending Story of Human Development, and at such times Our Assistance is always found in remembering The Wisdom of The Ancients... Who Understood and Instituted this Our Society as an ongoing striving to reveal and reflect The Heavens.

And indeed, This is the overarching Ideal for Human Society... To Be as closely reflective of the underlying Unity and Interconnectivity of That Which Is as possible.

Looking at Our Society, It is confronting and sad to see how far We are from Our Ideals, and as a result Our Generation stands presently upon the precipice of real crisis, before Us spread both vista and abyss. Yet, crises present both challenges and opportunities... and with Our Actions, We get To Choose.

I recall To You that Our Oldest Stories tell that We have faced similar major Situations before, and that thoughtful and diligent efforts by just a few Human Beings can be enough.

And whilst It is truism that the crucible of change is within each Human Being, and truly the world is too big and complex for any one person to change it, if Our Politics is not being properly and effectively done by nation-states and governments, the We the People must pick-up the tools Ourselves.

The Wall of Communities which is The Heart of Humanity must still be further built and maintained... After all, Our Children’s future is assured as much by Human Society as by Family.
