In the 21st Century, Mary Magdalene emerges not merely as a significant Figure of Our Past, but also as one of the great Spiritual Figures and Spiritual Teachers for Humanity’s Future.
Her Presence runs through the Canonical Gospels, the Gnostic Texts, and the recorded Memory of the earliest Christian Communities, revealing A Woman whose Spiritual Understanding and Spiritual Authority has been deliberately obscured by patriarchal institutions and their interpretations.
The Gnostic Traditions preserved what most Religious Institutions sought to silence and remove... That... Spiritual Understanding and Spiritual Authority is not the exclusive province and privilege of one gender, one hierarchy, or one institution.
Understanding is Awakening, and Ascension is Authority.
It is The Birthright of each and every Human to Remember their Divine Origin through Recognising that The Divine Spark dwells within All regardless of outward Form or Appearance.
It is precisely within This Horizon of Understanding that Mary Magdalene as figure and as Symbol assumes extraordinary and present significance. Thus, She must be recovered and restored as one of Our Symbols and Teachers of Wisdom, Understanding, Freedom and Equality.
In the Gospels, She is Not a secondary figure, for She was one of the closest Disciples of Christ. She was A Witness of both The Crucifixion and The Resurrection. And, She is The One entrusted with the foundational Proclamation of Christianity... “For, I have seen The Lord.” For these Reasons, the earliest Christian Traditions called Mary Magdalene... APOSTOLA APOSTOLORUM... The Apostle of The Apostles.
In the Gnostic Gospels, Her Significance is even deeper. In the Gospel of Mary, Mary Magdalene appears as A Disciple empowered to transmit and To Teach in Her own Spiritual Authority. In the Gospel of Philip, Mary Magdalene’s closeness to Christ is of symbolic and initiatory Dimensions. And, in Pistis Sophia, Mary Magdalene is an active participant in The Dialogues and The Mysteries of Salvation.
Symbolically, Mary Magdalene is connected with Sophia, the Goddess of Wisdom, and as such She represents ancient and traditional Wisdom. Mary Magdalene thus represents The Human Experience of Awakening. The One passing through The Night who sees and recognises The Presence of Spirit, becoming a Bearer of Truth not by delegation but through Experience. As Sophia, Mary Magdalene is The Feminine Dimension of The Divine Mystery, the ancient Wisdom always present within Creation and ever yearning for return to and reintegration with The Source.
In this way, Mary Magdalene is also one of the most luminous Expressions of embodied Wisdom, representing The Path of all Souls seeking transformation of ignorance into Understanding, separation into Unity, and fear into Love. Her Greatness rests on The Fact that She recognised The Light even whilst most others remained in doubt and fear. She intuitively Understood that Truth cannot be imprisoned or owned by any individual, and that Wisdom always Returns to announce The Dawn.
Praise Be to God 🙏
In these Ways, Mary Magdalene is A Voice of Wisdom returned, and A Symbol of Humanity coming To Awakening... To full Realisation of Its natural Divine Dimension.
