Art in Words: a villanelle

a collaboration with Karel Fehr

dark blue pools

drops of background

a glistening skin

old and rounded at the ends

but inside nests

portentous possibilities

the furnace of the mind

synapses firing insights

outlined in greens and gold

thoughts become a vision

captured swirling colourful

foaming into form

growing and growing spirited

until as fireworks they burst

leaving shadows of meaning left

fragments of grace

To Understand

from amidst fading glimpses

lingering in the view
