Your Son My Father

Your Son, My Father
...
stuttering aloud
asking accusing angry
delving into my words
seeking to express these
questions over lifetimes grown
struck with this knowing
and a wonder
brave
to seek and wander
powerfully built to be strong
your son my father
...
more than just these scattered letters
It is A Title
what you are I become
a stranger
so everywhere so absent
so strange always alone
...
your son my father
...
your silence deeply profound
echoing here, there and beyond
but to whom to turn to
when you only gesture
your sights your signs your sounds
your sons my father
...
urchins we wonder
look all the mansions around
littering every street every town
Yours say The Scriptures
yet we get to wander
We, The Sons of God
